My Reading Life – Heather Greer

Don’t you love surprises? Not pink slip in with your paycheck-type surprises. No one likes those. But a good surprise. Finding twenty dollars in your dryer that you didn’t know you had. A letter or card from an old friend you haven’t heard from in ages. When God provides when you had no clue how that bill would get paid.

This week Heather Greer shares all about her reading life. #MyReadingLife Share on X

A surprise I always love is reading a book and finding a story you didn’t expect. When the story and the writing draw you in so completely you don’t even notice those inevitably missed editing errors that usually drive you crazy. Maybe the surprise came in how deeply the story touched you or how much it made you laugh. It’s possible you connected so strongly due to a character that is just like you or reminds you of someone you love.

While every story is like a gift, these unexpected stories are like the most beautiful and treasured gifts given in the most heartfelt ways.
